Sorry, but who exactly wanted humans to be sheep? Lucifer. If you ever read the book of Job you would know this because the entire premise revolves around Lucifer trying to convince God that giving us free will was a bad idea.
I think you need to pray for discernment when you read the scripture. Start at the beginning, forget what you have been told, pray and read. If you are sincere in wanting the truth, it will be shown to you.
God doesn't require your submission. If he wanted you to do A, B, and C without choice, you would do exactly that! He is all-powerful, whether we like it or not. He gave you freewill because he wants you to have it. But he also created a system of justice, and you will suffer the consequences of the misuse of your freewill. God disciplines you like a loving father. The cabal abuses you out of malice and evil. If you really have read the Bible, you failed to understand much of it. You are being misled.
No? That isn't at all what the book of Job says. God does not interact with humans directly so he does not do things to people like you're suggesting he is.
I was mostly speaking about the assumption that God is who allowed Lucifer to punish Job. God did not, since he gave both humans and Lucifer free will. If God were to intervene, that wouldn't be free will. The notion that God letting Lucifer do terrible stuff to Job makes God bad, but Lucifer good, is absolutely ridiculously silly. This is a big part of the beginning of the book of Job.
Job asked for God for a miracle. God didn't just do it for no reason.

At the end of the book of Job did God not restore all that the devil had stolen from him plus more

You do know the Catholic church isn't the only Christian church right? When I read the Book of Job initially, it wasn't from a Catholic bible.
