I recently blew up a near sure thing with a girl I really liked over trying to make this literal exact point. She talks about how the news is all propaganda, and I merely pointed out how they wanted to keep us divided and at each other’s throats, and her penchant for equating everything white people do as “lame” and constantly talking about race contributes towards the eventual wholesale dehumanization of white people. I tried to make the point that everyone came to this country, often times facing unbelievable hardship, to escape some kind of tyranny, and our adherence to our principles is what made us strong in the first place. At the end all she heard was “blah blah white people struggle”

It just so happens that my ancestors helped build, fight, and die for these principles, so I feel pretty strongly about them. The left used to act like they were all about “sticking it to the man”, well.. I’d argue that no one in history has flipped the bird to “the man” quite like General Washington and his band of madlads (until a few weeks from now... maybe?), and every citizen of this country should understand and value that. Regardless, I’ll fight for their liberty, even while they beg for it to be taken away...
