I live in ground zero for the cicadas. They are everywhere. I was working outside over the weekend and had 2-3 on me at almost any given time. They are getting in my house. My deck is littered with them. What's strange though, is you can go 2 mi away and minimal cicadas. At least they don't do damage to anything.
They are the size of a thumb. I don't even notice them when they crunch underfoot anymore. I've taken to wearing a worn out pair of sneakers with no tread. Easier to scrape off.
