Why bother?

Printing billions, if not even trillions, by getting "everyone" vaccinated.

Achieve full totalitarian control.

If overpopulation is their concern (which by everything known about upcoming science and tech is an uneducated and unrealistic claim), then they can just leave people fighting over crumbs. They control logistics, so they can just let entire towns disappear without anybody knowing. After all, they controlled all the media as well.

Until Q came along that is.
