If you are usa based i cant help too much as im an resident us expat in the uk, so i buy from the ?? more than the usa.
i buy from bullionbypost & buy mostly for certified suppliers like scottsdale, umicore, metalor, and asahi, or the government mints for coins. That said, most of the options for purchase of silver bullion itself there are drying up fast for anything that isnt 1kg or bigger here, so coins are rapidly becoming a necessity to extend my supplies. PAMP in particular has gone completely unavailable for me, indicating the post i read saying they were totally dry might actually be true.
Avoid pawn shops and anyone who doesnt have a long term reputation to protect. Those who manufacture this stuff cant afford scandals, but the bit players can scam you quick.
Finally, make sure you take delivery yourself, it only really works if you can hold it in your hands. Having someone else store it means they hold it, not you.
Much appreciated, fren. Any tips on where to buy metals? Or at least where not to buy them? kek
