It's interesting to see in a liberal Big Tech company of how they groom "leaders".

I received feedback from my manager to "improve communication skills." I asked him, "who is evaluating that and how are they measuring improvement?"

Him: "I'll get back to you on that on how it's measured. On a side note, one thing that I've been working on is how to communicate directly and clearly with people."

Me: "HMMMMM ... The guy who doesn't communicate clearly is evaluating my progress...."

He's the biggest "yes man" that I've seen on the team. You have to obey like sheep to advance on some teams.
