Hackers put all funds into a custodial wallet. FBI probably just subpoenaed the exchange for the private keys.

Odd that hackers wouldn't know the first rule about bitcoin however.

Was this a FBI inside job circle jerk where they could 'subpoena' their own funds back after scaring the public? Only time will tell.

I never underestimate a persons ability to be stupid, so the hackers could very well have been dumb and trying to offboard it, but who knows.

How do we know anything is true, how do we even know there really were hackers? They just make up whatever they want these days and report it as news
