Going in - it is important to recognize the following concept. What is Counterintelligence.

Counterintelligence is an activity aimed at protecting an agency's intelligence program from an opposition's intelligence service. It includes gathering information and conducting activities to prevent espionage, sabotage, assassinations or other intelligence activities conducted by, for, or on behalf of foreign powers, organizations or persons.

Understanding this, not once is Chinese "Intelligence" referenced. Rather, repeatedly, Chinese "Counterintelligence" is referenced. Counterintelligence is a preventative measure.

With that in mind, let's summarize the big hits in this meeting. Point blank - 1:30 to 1:47.

Wray: The counterintelligence threat, which takes a wide variety of forms from the people's republic of China and the Chinese communist party and I think it's one of the most significant threats facing this country and our future -

Gaetz Is Dr. Yan part of that threat?

Wray Well, again, I don't want to speak specifically about any particular investigation...

There you have it. "No" wasn't the answer. Why?

A key highlight further into the interview:

Wray: The intelligence community has been looking at this issue; there are differences of view within the intelligence community about the origins of the Coronavirus, and so forth, and we're taking a deeper dive on that subject.

"Differences in view" this long after the fact - we know what the Wuhan Lab is now. We know what created Corona-19; it was "science." Any member of the intelligence community worth their salt will recognize, at this point, that it was man made. The real question is, who made it?

When else did we hear of "differences in view" that distracted progress? Remember the election interference. The long-awaited DIA report. What was the excuse? They couldn't come to an agreement.

Is China the origin of Covid-19?

Later, Gaetz asks:

Are you able to ascertain whether that effort - to discredit Dr. Yan - is part of the Counterintelligence efforts by the Chinese Communist Party?

Wray retorts:

Again, I want to be careful both about what information we can provide in general, about any kind of ongoing investigation, but also about what form that information would take - because in some cases you may be touching on things that would be classified and that would require a different format...

There you have it. It's classified whether or not Dr. Yan is part of 'counterintelligence efforts by the Chinese Communist Party.'

Why would that be the case? A woman risks her life to come to America, and blame everything on her homeland - and she is being investigated as a possible agent of Chinese counterintelligence? By directly blaming China itself - actively betraying her government - how does that serve as counterintelligence?

Maybe the Chinese government is supposed to be the fall guy. "Dive deeper."
