Don't the voting machines keep an image of what was scanned? If so, it would seem easy to verify rescans. Just look at the ballot images.

Not sure if it happened in AZ (so much to keep track of!) but I thought some of the voting machines had those images illegally deleted? I could be out to lunch though.
