I think all you need is the context. He never said to inject disinfectant either. He wasn't even telling anyone to do anything, he was talking fairly casually to some doctor on the side of the stage. Wasn't even addressing the audience or even giving a formal speech.

I had that portion of the speech on my phone, ready to whip out and show people, for quite a while.

People still didn't get it after that.

Maybe we need to "help" people Clockwork Orange style... Would thst even work?
