I just don’t know how much more I can take of this crap. I’m getting silenced more and more. Most of the leftie friends, I’ve stopped talking to. I’ve stopped posting on most social media and now I’m being told to shut up by family. It’s so frustrating. Seriously, I don’t know what would I do without this group. I’m really sad.

I want this. My husband and I are 50s, and there is not enough lifetime left to gain the knowledge to do all of it. But we will do what we can, when we can.
Thank you for keeping this knowledge alive
We did all this in less than four months. We didn’t have the money to do it sooner. When we put our lake house up for sale our kids thought we had literally gone off the deep end. Luckily, we hadn’t yet changed our wills. If they don’t know now, they’ll remember that we were prepared. We were literally living on a retirement resort area, which we felt wasn’t safe. We also weren’t entirely happy there. We have to work harder now which our kids think is crazy but they will end up making their way to us. We’ve told them that. They laugh….. now. The time will come…..
Wow. Just wow. What books/resources did you use??
No books. My resources and his was growing up in the rural south. I grew up on a modest but productive farm. Raised our own cows, pigs, chickens. Worked 3 gardens with a mule and canned everything we didn’t eat fresh. Grew our own wheat and corn before the Monsanto era to feed our animals. We were self sufficient. Not rich, but never were without, Husband grew up dirt poor several counties away. Went hungry many nights as a kid and vowed he’d never do it again. I taught him what I knew and he jumped right in. We’re more than ready for what could come and we already know we’ll be taking care of several, but we’ve got it to spare and we knew in advance we had dumbasses in the family who were clueless.
I applaud you!!! Neither of my husband or I have any of that knowledge. I’m so glad you do, and I’m so glad that our nation still has people like you that know how to really live.
I grew up in a small town and had friends that had dairy farms- but that’s all. :(
