My issue comes with the idea that our trash/recycling is part of our property taxes, whereas, my old neighbors in PA that we're friends with, they have no issue with any of this and it's a privatized business. Probably should have led with that in my initial post, I believe it's mismanagement of funds as they were claiming a massive deficit trying to "clean up" from the pandemic.
Considering how decimated the trucking industry is with over regulation and razor thin margins it’s no wonder there is a shortage.
No one in their right mind would buy a truck and trailer these days.

Our area stopped picking up recycling. "Too expensive" residents can take things to drop off locations...inconvenient
