Prion diseases are scary. CDC has Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) listed along with mad cow and chronic wasting disease (CWD). As a hunter, I am familiar with CWD and it's extremely transmissible through all bodily fluids (blood, saliva, urine, feces). It can also remain in the environment for years.
If we're destined for a zombie apocalypse I would wager that prion diseases will be the cause.
Any needle that is used on a prion patient can get the prion protein on the metal and it won’t come off via any sterilization means except heat hot enough to melt the metal itself. If it’s used on other patients it can cause the protein to attach to said patient and begin misfolding their proteins as well. Slow incurable death. Also undetectable for years which is why we know any prion diseases coming out now have nothing to do with the jab
AFAIK it's not transmissible right?

The hospital made us incinerate supplies used on CJD patients...
Because it couldn't be eliminated from the surgical tools...by any method of cleaning.
