And John the Baptist also got his timelines way off about the day of judgment. Eventually when he was the one in jail and soon to be executed by the state he had to send a message to Jesus who was not bringing final judgment on the wicked as they walked free and commited their deeds of evil: "Are you the Christ? Or should we expect another?"
