I'm genuinely curious as to why you aren't morally opposed to pornography?
In my opinion it is demeaning to women, ruins the sacredness of marriage, is highly addictive and desensitizing, which nearly always leads to partakers needing more and more graphic or violent material. See Ted Bundy's interview the night before his execution.
Initially I think folks who partake believe it's innocuous, but they're really opening themselves up to truly root cause evil. That's not hyperbole. It is without a doubt the gateway to pedophilia and the ruination of our country.
Am I wrong? Are you saying casual pornography is no big deal?
I don't recall saying anything about Leftists, I'm pretty sure child exploitation occurs across the political spectrum. I'm not trying to belittle anything you said about Natalie Biden. As far as I'm aware, there have been horrific crimes committed against children for centuries. I don't claim to know why nobody has stopped it and it certainly doesn't mean that I'm minimizing the issue. You are disgusted at my opinion that pornography might lead to child sex exploitation. Can you give me a better explanation? If not porn, what?
Unfortunately you made my point about desensitization in your next paragraph, it's a substantial problem that I witnessed it first hand, in real time. My outrage here is genuine. My husband's addiction to pornography absolutely destroyed my marriage. I won't get into the gory details and you can abandon your false assumptions about my purity and lack of experience. Although it was many years ago, the devastation porn addiction wrought on my family is unquestionable.
I will agree that not ALL folks get addicted to pornography just as not all folks get addicted to weed or alcohol. We can agree on that and I walk my statement back. But please don't get defensive. I did not pass moral judgement on you. God knows I'm in NO position to cast the first stone. Sheesh, if you only knew.
I'm merely curious to hear a well-reasoned argument for harmlessness of pornography. So far I haven't heard it yet.
But the sanctity and beauty of the marriage bed was part of my initial statement, so you're agreeing with my initial point.
I'd like you to explain your initial statement that Trump didn't take down Hunter cuz, muh we're too Christian. You made a statement that "the people here have weird-ass moral compasses."
I could be wrong, but I think the real reason is bigger than we're just a bunch of prudes. I think Trump is trying to take down the Deep State and the globalist cabal of evil that rules this entire planet. Like he's casting a way bigger net. That doesn't diminish the soul crushing reality of suffering children in any way.
**I'm looking for root causes to this heart breaking problem. My belief is that porn IS part of the problem. **You disagree, tell me why.
So far this dialogue feels a bit like an ad hominem attack. But for the sake of clarification, your argument is that pornography is like food. There's good food and bad food. And good pornography is okay because it's delicious. Am I understanding correctly?
Or are you saying that the existence of pornography is the fault of women?
People choose what to do. If people choose to fuck on camera, that's entirely their choice.
You ONLY get to choose to look at it or not look at it.
Any other thought is just being a Karen.
People everywhere only want to look at the symptoms then pretend they're fighting evil successfully.
You think porn is ruining women or damaging them in anyway? Think it's hurting the viewers?
Well, you're probably right. But focusing on porn isn't going to fix it. You don't fix addicts by hiding their drugs, that's when violence happens.
We have a culture where people don't value themselves while projecting they're very valuable. People don't understand pride, so they say they're proud they're gay or white or black.
When people are raised to be pussies while being told they're never wrong, they do stupid demeaning shit. The stuff you see is what's public, you don't see their private life.
The problems with porn? That's miniscule compared to the shit that people aren't broadcasting the world.
Make the world a better place, don't focus on symptoms.
Wanna avoid a heart attack? You could eat right and exercise.... but no. People don't. They'd rather have a pill. Problem isn't solved, you're just keep that "countdown to death" from getting very close to 0.
If we could get people to focus on FIXING SHIT, we'd be much better off.
But as Homer Simpson said in his campaign to be the trash guy, "can't someone else do it?"
