They (The Powers that Shouldn't Be) seem to choose the VPs so I didn't trust Pence. Altho I am a Christian, I don't trust politicians that say they are Christians. Too many tares among the wheat. I didn't trust Trump either. But oh how he surprised me. Wow! I like what you wrote, "Trump was so much more than I could have hoped for." Love that! You are so right.
