Not defending nor condemning but if pence had failed to certify the election count on the 6th then trump and the militaries entire plan to drain the swamp and save the world would have been severely hampered.
Don't be surprised if in the end pence played an entirely different role than what is being accepted.
Just saying that all the brainiac second guesses out here are liable to as surprised as the rest of us when the dust finally clears.
