This was a stunt to provoke patriots into a mob mentality. Immediately after "the shooting", there were rebel rousers outside the capitol with megaphones trying to get people whipped up into a frenzy... along with the Pence betrayal. They purposely chose a black shooter in order to stoke more racial strife. It failed. Most of the people there saw right through it.

Did you ever heat Trump mention it? No, because he knew it was just another hoax.
