No they didn't. They're still on the fucking CDC website, they're just not tracked alone. They're tied into covid, on the tables reporting as such they're listed as PIC (pneumonia, influenza, and covid)
Covid is a cold, colds happen at the same time as influenza does. Most seasonal illnesses are actually colds, not influenza (I saw a doctor talking about how something like 30% of what we call "flu" is actually a cold, such as a coronavirus, which makes the flu shots that much more useless.) The people that were weak enough to get the flu/pneumonia will likely get covid first. I had the flu this year. They didn't test, because that's weird for some reason, but I was literally out of work for 5 days because of "the flu"
The numbers of deaths are roughly the same BECAUSE the same people that would die from flu/pneumonia are the ones dying from covid (with the exception of younger people), so it's basically a 1::1 exchange on cause of death.
Influenza is spreading less because people are being more clean and less crowded, it doesn't mean social distancing helps it just means that the spread through the community is slower. The virus will spread until "herd immunity" in any case where the virus isn't very lethal, no matter if you're wearing masks or doing any of the precautions. All you can do is be clean enough to not allow enough of the virus into your system to let you actually get sick. I guarantee you get flu, coronaviruses, and others EVERY YEAR but only rarely actually get sick. This is because you don't get enough of the virus to take hold to cause the symptoms.
Some causes of death are actually UP (and we'll see the effects of that down the line) as people weren't able to, were afraid to, or had to wait to get seen for issues that could be fixed/cured if caught early. We are absolutely going to see an uptick in cardiovascular issues (people don't exercise and eat right, it's much easier to get a pill or surgery!) causing deaths because people didn't get treatment fast enough, we're going to see excess cancer deaths as some cancers are not an issue if caught super early but a few weeks can mean the difference between life and death, and then suicides/drugs/alcohol will go up because the bullshit in general of 2020+ has caused mental health issues.
THEY TOLD US REPEATEDLY AND CLEARLY they were going to count everything they could as covid. That inflated the numbers. They were not shy about this. It was MANY press conferences where they told us this. The actual covid deaths (the 6% of the total) lines up with any cold/flu season.
