I take a slightly different angle. The Jan6 false flag was known about by Trump yes. On the day he was super late showing up, which held people back from the capitol. The false flag had to start without all the people at the capitol, they were still listening to Trump speak.
I remember thinking, why would there be people breaking in BEFORE the vote count situation? did not make sense, so at that moment the false flag was obvious because the numbers at the capitol were small, and they had no reason at that point to even be angry. As far as everyone thought the count would be rejected.
Trump knew, and held everyone back by being late, forcing the DS to begin their false flag without the cover of genuine crowds. Probably kept the place relatively clear for surveillance too.
I don't subscribe to the "Trump lured people there to be smeared" (obviously).
