I haven't listened to AJ in years. I was driving today and put him on and I was really taken back about the lies he spreads about the Q movement. He says that Q basically told the followers to commit acts of violence and that they were working for the government. I know that is BS because I followed all Q posts from the beginning, but there is a lot of cross over in these communities and I wonder how in the hell he is getting away with saying stuff like that.

Personal hunch is that Jones is disavowing himself from the Q movement so that he isn't ensnared in any deep state entrapments like he was with pizzagate + sandy hook - both of which he was forced to apologise for despite his original take being right on the money (pg was ballpark real, sh was suspicious).
I watched his desposition videos - if you can get off bullshit charges by going for the 'entertainer' defence, I think anyone would.
Overall I'm 50/50 on AJ being legit or controlled. Maybe its a mix of both - he certainly is muzzled on particular subjects which seems at odds with his canny knack for future predictions.
The beauty of Q (and why its still around) is that there are proofs which still hold water. It's at least directionally true and a protection against the lure of the black-pill, so for that don't let anyone else persuade you.
