So, I am getting married soon and here in Michigan the restrictions are GONE as of tomorrow morning. This means that my reception can be indoors at full capacity. I sent an email to my family to this effect, and IMMEDIATELY one of my cousins got on my case about how her two year old won’t wear a mask, and they don’t want him around anyone unvaccinated so she’ll have to talk to his pediatrician and blah blah blah...what the fuck. This is SICK. He’s TWO and you’re perplexed that he doesn’t want to be muzzled?! I just don’t understand this anymore. People really don’t want to let go of Covid, it’s become their identity.

In my day, one did not bring a 2 year old to a wedding reception.
Reason: he will act like a two year old, which is perfectly natural, but not appropriate for a wedding, which is to honor and witness to the bride and groom, without being distracted by an attention-getting toddler.
Yes, the bride and groom should hire a group of drag queens to keep the little ones entertained.
