First - Jesus did NOT give them his physical flesh to eat. They argued because they did not understand, as you do not.
So let’s answer the question. How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
The answer: he can’t! Not his actual physical flesh from his physical body. Therefore it must necessarily mean something else, wouldn’t you agree? Since he didn’t start lopping off parts of his body and feeding it to the crowd.
The last supper had not happened yet, so nobody knew what he meant.
John 6:49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
So Jesus brought a bunch of bread down from heaven? I don't recall Jesus having a spaceship, or a portal to heaven that was ever mentioned. Its not literal bread.
John 6:55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
How do you misinterpret this?
Im wondering what actually took place at that last supper?
Obviously he didn’t mean eat the flesh off my bones or that’s what they would have done.
You are deceived.
Its not obvious.
John 6:52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
If Jesus was speaking of literal bread, why the argument, why the outrage?
John 6:66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
If Jesus was just speaking of bread, why did all but 12 of his disciples turn back?
Deceived by what? The words of the bible?
You are ignorant of the words in the bible. You read into it only what you want to believe. Very dangerous.
