I have seen the two (so far) news reporters that have reached out to Project Veritas to expose the issues they witness in which their employer is hiding information from their viewers. Are they not protected from being fired from their jobs for coming forward?

Whistleblower protection has always been limited. It's also totally ignored in many cases, with the only recourse being a successful lawsuit. In any event, saying unauthorized stuff on air (especially pointing viewers towards a competing news org) is probably enough to get them fired legitimately, as it probably violates their contract. But it's fun for us to watch. And hopefully these folks will be rewarded in other ways.
