I would like to choose shares to counter the hedge funds. My broker won't invest in international shares.

Yes, I'm new to this so I made a miscalculation. I just set up a stocks and shares ISA which is a UK savings scheme which allows a certain amount of tax free investing, I didn't realize I was limited to UK stocks.
I'd just open a new account with Fidelity or Webull and put my tendies there. There are no limits to how many brokerages you can work with.
It is Fidelity, on the individual stock chooser, it won't return results for GME and the help dialog FAQ says " Can I buy gamestop? -We are not something something international stocks " I can't remember exactly what it said.
It seems there's no way around it on that brokerage. You may want to try others such as Degiro or T212 as I heard those are acceptable for buying GME in the UK. Also, there's nothing even close to GME anywhere (as far as I know).
Thank you very much.
It looks as if T212 provide the UK ISA saving scheme.
I'll investigate it.
