He was never convicted of any felonies, he's spent a few nights in jail for minor offences, that's about it

He's actually never been to prison except for when he performed for inmates, as far as I know he's been to San Quentin (performed when Merle Haggard was there, that's what sparked Haggard's career) and Folsom Prison
