I taught in an urban public school district for 41 years after serving 8 years in the military, 4 as a junior officer.
During my career in education, 9 out of 10 Black Americans at the High School level had no interest in achieving an education and an ability to think critically or learn a job skill that can earn them a decent living. The 1 out of 10 that do make an effort are treated miserably by their fellow blacks. They are accused of being white and experience the real racism others say they experience. The problem is that too many in the urban setting have been living on welfare for up to 4 generations now. LBJ and the Dems knew what they were doing when they passed the Great Society legislation back in the 1960s. This broke up the Black family unity that was stronger at that time, killed the work ethic as Biden is trying to do now, and got the drug trade to grow exponentially from that time. The worse is the majority of Black Americans allowed this to happen and they kept voting for the pols that did this to them. There was no push back against the break up of their families, the decline in their education and the difficulty in the law to get off government dependency as well their separation from the mainstream by living in government housing. The law segregated the Black population from the mainstream with the housing laws enacted under LBJ. Jim Crow pols would be proud. Those who worked there way out of this environment to be productive citizens should be highly commended.
If you doubt my conjecture, just look up the stats for black on black murder and other crimes. Look up applications for welfare by race and how many get off welfare in a short time. In my 65+ years, I have seen blacks from Africa and the Caribbean immigrate here legally and have no problem achieving middle class status or better. They tell me opportunities are frequent here because of our freedoms, living is far better than where they came from, and whatever racism they did experience did nothing to stop them from meeting their goals. American born blacks who worked for their success have told me the same thing.
In short, the real racism in this country is the D Party policies enacted going back to LBJ that the Ds still wreck our economy to fund, the RINOs are too spineless to stop when they had control of the government, and a majority of Black Americans to addicted to the free money and benefits to do the hard work necessary to build a better life.
If you don’t like my reporting on these decades of observations and want to call me a racist, fine, you won’t be the first or the last. However, to those pushing CRT, what have you really done to improve your lives and the lives of others other than blaming another group of people for your misfortune?
I still give praise to the black community who have achieved in their lives. In hindsight, I should have included members of the Black community who openly speak out against CRT.
