It's rather odd that, at the current time, Trump appears to be at odds with both of his former AGs. Coincidence, or part of the plan? I don't know, but things that start to look like a pattern always make my antennae go up.

I agree with you. I think that both Sessions and Barr are part of the plan and had a role to play for us to get to this point right now.
