I remember this story. Not even just attacking police cars with molotovs, but handing them out to arm other terrorists as well. Well within the scope of crimes like this to sentence them both to death.

A plea deal is supposed to be a quid pro quo affair, what can they possibly offer the court? I'd be ok with a reduced sentence if it meant giving up names, locations, invoices for purchasing stuff, comms details etc if it meant arresting & jailing hundreds of antifa terrorists and their procurement, support and coordination networks.. but I bet they didn't have to give anything of value.

Just more terrorists set free to repeat their crimes free of any consequence... many such cases.
