It truly does seem like modern mimicry, and it's effective... but that effectiveness is subverted when it is peddled as a legitimately old, super-prescient work, and it's not.
The truth is always better than lies when your cause is the truth.
It’s a combo of a couple of old animations with way too many filters on it. I use to be into old animations. I can’t remember the name or anything, but the Devil with the needle is a short I’ve seen. So this isn’t real as is. But it’s very well done. Also, if we could stop posting this over and over it would be good. The continuing posting only makes the creator look desperate for attention.
It looks like it has Ub Iwerks style to it. Or possibly someone within that studio and timeframe. It seems very similar to that style and technology they were basically inventing at that time.
Thank you for your skepticism on this.

Bosco resembles one character in the pandemic cartoon.

Hey is that Mr. Game and Watch?
How many times will this be posted today?
First time I've seen it.
The fact that none of the FB links works is suspicious. No comments allowed either.
I don't know who made the cartoon but it sure sounds like Tom Waits singing ?
Old footage that's been reworked maybe?
The syringe looks too modern as well.
