For the past couple of weeks in my town, many of the stores here haven't had the chance to restock items, leaving many empty shelves. There are three regular stores I frequent where I have talked to the employees, and they confirmed that regular shipments aren't coming in, or they only have half the items that are usually delivered. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I remeber that there was talk of a planned food shortage in the U.S on GAW about two months or so ago, so it definitely piqued my curiosity after personally encountering some weird situations.

I was told by the garage door repair guy (who was the owner of the company) that metal is in high demand and hard to get. Just to get garage door wheels has become an issue for him (as he replaced ours). And just had the plumber here (we got one of those maintenance packages with local company for AC, plumbing & electrical. So the plumbers came out this morning we asked how much they’d charge to put in a new water heater (60 gallon) and their estimate because he said with the issues getting metal they increased the price by $100, estimate was $1164., and that was with a 15% discount because of our maintenance package. And of course we all know the price of lumber has skyrocket. And we still need to replace one side of fence in backyard, but with hurricane season on us (live in the south, and were hit directly last year, reason why we need to replace a barely standing fence) I’m wondering if we should wait till the season is over. The new neighbors next door fixing to move in don’t have any dogs (yet anyway) though we have two big ones, it’s not that big of a deal at the moment. ?
Pallet wood works well if you are more form over function.
Yes, great idea, my friend has done that. However we need at least a 6 foot tall fence, we have big dogs, one that's a great dane and another that is a 100 lb pit mix that can jump. So a short fence would be nothing for him to go over. He'd be next door playing with the kids whether they wanted him there or not, lol.
