I learned in school that your DNA produces your RNA, and your RNA makes proteins. So, by introducing a foreign RNA, it uses your body chemistry to produce the wrong proteins, spike proteins that damage your cells. Normally your body would instantly wipe out foreign RNA, so they had to have shielded this stuff some how. It would live comfortably in a virus for awhile, of course. A virus is essentially an RNA delivery package.
