Correct me if I am wrong, but DuckDuckGo only protects you, or does not tract you, during the search you do from the DuckDuckGo home page.
When you click on a link that is returned via your search, you are not longer within the purview of DDG. Now if you have the DDG Privacy Essentials plugin installed in the browser that you are using, then you will get some tracker protection, but of course this would be negated by any site that you sign into.
For example, if I use CCleaner to clean all my history, cookies etc.., and visit YT, it will not no who I am, and have my YOUTUBE history, but if I sign into YT, then it will know exactly who I am, and will shown suggested vids based on what I did recently, whether or no I have YT history enabled or not.
If I read what you wrote correctly, then yes you are correct in your assessment of YT. I have no understanding of the other element of your comment concerning DDG Privacy Essentials.

Ha Ha, Of course you read it correctly, if your conclusion is that I am correct.
If you has told me I was wrong, then I would tend to think that surly you misunderstood what I meant to say.
Howls...
