If it was fireworks they may have tossed them in the containment vessel for safe keeping as they removed them from the area, but to ignite whatever it was on the spot was either stupidity or necessity. They didn't comprehend what they had, so I vote stupidity with 9 people injured. Let's defund the bomb disposal team. Idiots.
