Marines have (or at least had) higher ASVAB score requirements than the Army did.
One if my favorite nuggets of information is that the so called dumb grunt infantry has one of the higher ASVAB requirements… but it makes sense if you think about it. Sniper just shot LT and an IED left Sarge down for the count, corporal snuffy still has to accomplish the mission while the original plan has gone to shit. A dumbass can’t do that.
Not they don't. Not true. The Airforce does, but the other branches are all set at a minimum of 31 AFQT (ASVAB for the non-military types). NOW ... in YOUR defense, they DO have a minimum number of low AFQT applicants the will allow, and they do NOT bust that cap. The Army busts that shit every year.
My comparison was strictly between the marines and the army.
