Here's a return statement. That message was posted on his telegram during the event while Patrick was answering questions. It was written by a staff member.
If you watch the video in my below comment, you'll see that they were well aware that he was speaking and willingly gave him the microphone and stage.

Steinbart is not even 10 feet away from Byrne, was given the microphone by the hosts before speaking on stage, and his Q-Meetups are advertised in the lobby.
Seems pretty involved to me. He didn't just randomly show up and he's not sneaking around.
