The entire catholic religion is only about control, look into the dark ages if you doubt me.
The entire theology is written by the the papacy and isn't the least bit biblical.
Don't assume I'm only against catholics, there is plenty of false doctrine taught in many of the Christian churches as well.
I agree. But I think it is important to learn about Jesus when you are young. You may accept the Bible as worth exploring (as I do) or reject it as a Book of fables (as one of my sisters does) but it is still there in your memory. It's the threshing floor.
I read the Bible almost everyday, I might miss one or two days a month.
I regard its as absolute fact and as God's word.
If you read and study your Bible? Why do you still go to a catholic church? I was attending a Christian church in my town until I noticed that they were teaching false doctrine. They're wealth and prosperity message aligned more with what the TV mega pastors like Joel Osteen and Kenneth Copeland said and not what Jesus taught.
As a Catholic.. I find the practices to be very biblically based. Start with reading the New Testament and compare the fulfillment of God's promise to send the messiah to the other covenant relationships God made with Adam, Abraham, Moses, Noah. God loves his people and has provided ways back to relationship with him. Another misconception to learn about. The Catholic church is Christian. Established by Jesus when He says upon this rock I shall build my church.

Jesus is the rock not peter. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Christians do good works because they are saved, not to be saved.
