the problem goes much higher than defunding the police. You have corrupt judges, prosecutors, governors,mayors, letting the criminals run rampent. back in the old west, you steal a horse you were hanging in a tree by sundown. People do not fear concequences of their actions. The old addage of crime doesnt pay doesn't hold water any more....Crime pays..simple economics..why is it most crooks (politicians) are millionaires while you work for peanuts....
