Starting next week, the government, in a partnership with Roundup, will be spraying all neighborhoods to help with lawn maintenance. You're welcome America.

This is so hilarious but terrifying at the same time. I wouldn’t be shocked.....

In the 60's, they ran a jeep thru the neighborhood spraying us with DDT. Still remember the smell.

Same. In my neighborhood they used a fairly large truck that sprayed the stuff out behind it. My mother wouldn't let us outside for the entire day.

In the 90s they sprayed Maricopa County from helicopters because someone was panicked over West Nile Disease. And people were snitching on puddles.

I would never dispute the benefits of the lowly dandelion, but this article is flawed at best. For one thing, the coof has not been isolated yet, therefore, how can there be any proof that dandelion would suppress it, and more importantly, how can there be variants or mutations?

Be careful taking dandelion in any form. It protects from the spike protein (and the virus) because it contains chemicals that bind to the ACE2 receptor, and therefore it leaves fewer ACE2 receptors open for the spike protein or the virus to bind to. This is called competitive inhibition because multiple different molecules are competing for access to the same receptors.

The problem is that it will also inhibit the binding of important medications that also bind to the ACE 2 receptor, such as Losartan potassium and some other blood pressure medications. So dandelion will not only inhibit the spike protein and virus, but will also interfere with some important medications. If you take Losartan or other ACE2 binding medications, then you are already benefitting from competitive inhibition against the protein and virus. Talk to your doctor before using dandelion to make sure you're not causing any of your medications to stop working properly.

You are most correct and you hit a very important point - downregulation of ACE-2.

This is preliminary non published research using an extract of dandelion. Extracts are a way of concentrating the active components found in plants. There are all kinds of botanicals and other substances that are being looked at that show similar mechanisms of action - competitive binding of ACE-2 receptors used by the spike protein from either the vaxines or from SARS-CoV-2 infection - including any of the so called "variants." Which said variants I believe are more hype than reality. They need some way to increase vaxine usage and to explain increased deaths and injury due to the vaxines. They will kill two birds with one stone - pun intended.

One of the concerning things the article mentioned that you make note of, and of which I have yet to find any reasonable answers for, is the question of the affects of downregulation of ACE-2 due to competitive inhibition of the receptor site - especially over the long term if people are trying to use a whole host of preventatives to protect themselves against spike protein.

We do know that downregulation physiologically affects the renin–angiotensin system (RAS). RAS is a hemodynamic and biological system that regulates blood pressure, plasma potassium, and the stability of pulmonary epithelial membranes. The system involves two antagonistic pathways to achieve balance - one is the angiotensinogen pathway and the other involves ACE-2.

We believe that major imbalances in RAS induced by the downregulation of ACE-2 is an essential element of unfavorable evolution in patients with COVID-19. The biological marker of this imbalance appears to be hypokalemia - low potassium. We just don't know and people are attempting to try any so called "treatment" to protect against not only SARS-CoV-2 infection, but also the affects of spike protein on the vaxed, and by exposure to those that have been vaxed. All this gravitation towards any remedy inadvertently may eventually lead to us shooting ourselves in the foot.

Dandelion tea and extracts have been consumed throughout history. But, it does not come without contraindications. People that have eczema and allergies to ragweed may want to stay clear. Also, people with bleeding disorders and that are already on blood thinners should avoid it - it could increase bleeding. Another issue with dandelion is that it affects the metabolism in the liver of certain drugs. So people taking medications have to use dandelion with care.

The area of hematologic complications is of concern to me with regard to the increase in adverse reactions to vaxines and the disease called COVID-19 mostly because of the duality of having clotting while at the same time having reduced platelet levels that causes bleeding. This has been a hallmark of this so called respiratory infection called COVID-19 since the beginning and has had me scratching my noodle trying to fit a lot of pieces together that did not quite seem to fit.

As with COVID-19, vaxinated people have been showing up to the ER with these same comitant symptoms which complicates treatment options - especially with cavernous sinus thrombosis in the brain while platelets are in the tank. This is one of the reasons I have to conclude that this is not something that originated in nature, but was a very carefully AI designed bioweapon - one that has many moving pieces that allude detection and which does not have a single causative factor. Although that is what they want us to think.

So, given the fact that there are probably better alternatives out there that can act as antiviral agents that interfere with ACE-2 binding of the spike protein, I don't recommend dandelion, especially concentrated extracts, for anyone but the healthiest. I have always been careful with dandelion and licorice root because of possible reactions - namely increased blood pressure.

I can't tell people about this, they don't believe it at all if I try to tell them.

Some people will only wake up right on the edge of the precipice, just when they see it opening up underneath their feet.

Its pine needle tea as well, a nice drink.

so the question is what's the key part of the plant that does it?

you can make:

dandelion tea

use the greens for salads (wash them first!)

roots are edible as well (its better if they are older than a year so the roots aren't so bitter)

any pede have experience trying any of these?

In the article they mentioned leaves. I was just looking up available dandelion products and almost all lean on the root. Wine is made from the flowers. Dandelion roots as well as chicory can be dried, roasted, and brewed for a coffee substitute but roasting seems destructive and it isn't as bitter as the leaves. So I bought 10,000 dandelion seeds and am getting big planters ready. Surely this is the easiest, cheapest, most versatile, and even nourishing plant remedy yet.

Dandelion has been known to have positive benefits for a number of health problems. I usually have some root in my cabinet.

But, it is something to take in moderation. Too much can cause side effects.

Have just looked up hesperidin, its an extract of orange peel.

I know about orange terpene which also comes from orange peel, good stuff for cleaning and disinfecting, I believe that orange terpene is also found in cannabis, but don't quote me on this.

Thanks Dr Jill, big hugs!
