During all the BLM/Antifa mayhem last summer, my wife and I were doing our fitness walk in the mall. There was a short, little white lady walking in front of us. Our pace was such that we would be overtaking her in about 50 feet or so. Approaching us from ahead was a really fit, 20-something black guy with dreads. He appeared to be looking at his phone while walking, but he kept drifting toward and intercept course with the small lady. I told my wife to hang back while I moved forward. I timed it so that I would arrive by the lady just a moment before he did. I’m over 60, but I’m a big guy and I still teach Judo at martial arts club. I’m also CCW permit holder.
Right before the guy was about to intercept, he glanced up from his phone and saw me. He veered to the left suddenly and walked to the other side of the mall. I bent down, pretending to tie my shoe casually as my wife caught up. As we passed the lady a few minutes later and she thanked me. Apparently she was aware of the guy’s approach and was afraid, but she didn’t know what to do. I don’t know if the guy had bad intentions, but by being a little more “present,” I was able to deter what could have been a bad situation. That’s what we need to do, guys.
You just say to that mom, from 20 feet away, "I'm going to make sure from over here, that you and your family get to your car safety during this time of abductions in parking lots". Simple enough. As a mom I would only appreciate it. This is no bull. Watch the parking lot abduction videos. There are often several vehicles parked in the lot that are all part of the abduction plans. And people, don't park way the hell out on the edges of parking lots even if that is where the shade is.
I absolutely agree with this. Chivalry is not dead, but nowadays it’s more rare and it takes a more masculine, mature man to understand it and exercise it. Of course I live in the south, so we have more chivalry in general. To the people who say this is a bad idea—imagine if it were your mom or sister or girlfriend or daughter being preyed upon... and there was someone who could have stopped it!
I always try to look out for others and I’m happy to see that idea is not dead. In fact I think some gentlemen did this for me a few weeks ago at a gas station in a known rough part of town, where unfortunately just bad timing and planning caused me to have to stop for gas. It looked like they waited until I was in my car before they headed out, and I really appreciated it.
If we were in the 1920's, this would be a great idea, and seen as a kind and respectable thing to do.
Unfortunately we live in the 2020's. Walking up to a woman and her children in a parking lot is a recipe for a hundred different kinds of lawsuits. You might have the best intentions, you might want to see the woman gets safely home with her children and her groceries, but unfortunately for women, they absolutely killed chivalry and made it a legal liability to act in a chivalrous way.
I know it seem heartless and cold, but leave these seemingly defenseless women alone. There have been far too many reports of men trying to do the right thing for women who end up arrested, doing jail time, and in a worse position than had they simply walked away.
Women wanted independence, and they got it. Let them deal with their own protection. It simply is not worth the risk.
Even watching women can get you into legal trouble these days. If something should happen while you are watching, and you do / don't get involved, either action can lead to lawsuits where the man is the losing party.
Men had best mind their own business and leave the business of women to women. If women are half as intelligent and independent as they claim to be, they'll make considerations for their own safety.
As I said in my earlier post; women wanted independence, and the made protecting them and keeping an eye out for them a legal liability for me. They killed chivalry.
If y'all want to test fate and play Russian roulette with your freedom and criminal record, go right ahead. The wiser men will keep to our own business and let women take care of themselves.
You can never know for sure the kind of woman you are dealing with. Even the most patriotic looking women can turn out to be trouble for a man only seeking to do the right thing.
The only winning move for a man is not to play.
It was women who wanted this society, and they got what they wanted.
A wiser man would keep to his own business.
If you feel like you absolutely have to get involved, you need to be aware of the legal liability you are putting yourself in. Be extremely careful.

I think young men should be in on this too. Agreed ! Thank you for thinking of us ladies.

Again, Russian roulette.

Yeah if it looks like some leftist whore help the guys get em all in the van.
Incorrect. You are not a woman, or a mom, I daresay.
