They use Google tag manager in their signup page. Translation, Google will know your user name, tie it to your real identity, and will track everything you say.
They'll track everything you share, like, comment, etc. You're helping them build a profile on you. Unless you're completely insulated from all advertising, they will find ways to "nudge" you into making purchases and forming opinions.

That's fine, the guns analogy doesn't apply to you specifically. But do you understand why patriots don't want to divulge that information to tyrants? Letting them know our exact munitions and ammunition, literally and figuratively, does not work in our favor.
We should not support any platform that poses like an "alternative" platform when it relies and shares everything with Big Tech. That's even worse than facebook or twitter, at least we know they're the enemy.
