While watching Salty's ReeeeeEee stream a few minutes ago, I heard his saying something that sparked in my brain. When the House and Senate get turned back to their proper and legit winners, will they choose Trump as their speaker? Salty asked if it's even possible to have someone not elected be chosen and I did a quick search and found the above link. Is Lin Wood beating the FL audit drum so hard to stir something up like this? Something with Gaetz? He's not seeking reelection, eh? I know this is a timely process.
I am just kicking this around in my empty head. (I'm Joe Biden and I approve of this message.)
The Constitution does not require the speaker to be an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, although every speaker thus far has been. The speaker is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the vice president and ahead of the president pro tempore of the Senate.
