This is the foundation of Academic Narcissism and applies to everything "science".

This includes, but not limited to: -Medicine -Geology -Archaeology -Astronomy -Astro Physics -Energy -Architecture -Environmental

The list goes on into every niche. There is an "accepted" narrative that is pushed in every field of study and anyone that steps out of those lines will get ostracized and ruined. Even though their discoveries would leap mankind massively into a future only seen in movies...or has not yet been seen by the public...it will be suppressed.
