I do not know how widespread this is but is has been heartbreaking to many. To the indigenous folks: We are with you! Prayers are with you. We want justice! Some are still alive and must be brought to justice.

The issue I bring to the table is justice. It is perfectly plausible for someone who committed serious offenses at the age of 30 to be reading this now.
I think I understand the dilemma. If we cry out for justice the left will use this and more innocent will fall to the communists pigs (antifa for profit).
How long do we play this game and allow the guilty to live out their lives in peace?
Like spending ten times what a thief stole to convict him we must draw a line and endure.
This hill calls out...but it’s not my call. It must be a community determination.
Well sure, I have no issue with those responsible being held to account.
The thing is, the current targets are at best mid-level players in the crime. The real target of The Left is Canada itself. Demolishing our history.
If holding individual people to account is one of the steps to take, then the main targets ought to be whomever was involved with it at a government level (who is still alive), specifically, the people making the decisions (not so much the low level people, scapegoats). Pierre Trudeau would be a natural target, if he were still alive, though, blaming Justin Trudeau for this would be a stretch (he has plenty other blood on his hands, just not the residential schools).
Destroying people in the RCMP and/or the church, who were uninvolved with these crimes, is nonsensical. The current trajectory of this narrative, that's where it is going. Historical churches being burned, statues being toppled, that fixes nothing. Calls to disband or reform the RCMP, sure, that might be appropiate if the RCMP is still involved with these crimes.
BUT, we all know what that will look like in the current political environment, it will be the destruction of more Canadian history, in favour of Marxist elements. It will eventually lead to "give the land back" (already a narrative that has been primed), starting with the "donation" or confiscation of Canadian public land and/or private businesses, it would then bleed into confiscation of private property of average day Canadians (who had nothing to do with those historical crimes). That's no solution. That's communism. That's evil.
Calling for the canceling of Canada day is as much BS as calling for the canceling of Independence day.
Being too idealistic about this is a mistake as well.
At the end of the day, the Left never cedes ground, they only take and take. If they are going to insist on destroying Canada from within, there can be no compromise on any of their "solutions" which inch us closer to that result.
Real progress would be actually helping the aboriginal reserves become self sustainable & the corrupt chiefs who pocket much of the money given to their commuitities for themselves be held to account. The idea would be to end the generational poverty and crime issues that their community faces.
This is a non-starter for Leftists, because this is one of their sources of power within Canada. The Leftist elites would rather see the aboriginals suffer, pretend they care, offer solutions which don't actually help, and so forth.
Called it:

"Give ALL of the land back ... partially aboriginal in blood line? Not enough!"
At least she does blame the government. But her "solution" is untenable.
