What would I do? Calmly ask them to never come back.
I was at a seminar once where the guy encouraged that when people who want to stir things up by posing a loaded question, you decline, but then tell them 'But thanks for asking!' The tone had a lot to do with it which is hard to get across in writing, but the idea is to disarm them so they are speechless and don't have a response; the response they are ready for is a fight, and if you gush 'OMG, you care about me? ME? oh that is so sweet. Imagine you coming out here all this way for little old me...'
