Jesus clearly called Satan the God of this world an authority conferred upon him through Adam's disobedience.

"Pistis" or "faith" is about emotionally, mentally, and spiritually being pressed by the law into honesty about dependence on Jesus Christ. "Faith" in English does not mean the same thing to most people. Its why people don't baptize babies "because they can't even choose" Yup that's because "faith" isn't about you choosing. A baby is ultimately dependent and one reason why Christ says we must become like one and be born again.

God is in control, but...
He asked Noah to build the ark to save his family and the animals for the next world.
He asked Moses to lead his people out of slavery.
He asked Joshua to take over the promised land.
He sent prophets to wake sleeping people up.
He called on 12 men to spread the gospel of Christ.
