I was in middle school when 9/11 happened, so as a kid I didn't pay much attention after the initial shock of that day. It wasn't until the 2008 election cycle that I really started to pay attention. The media was deifying this unknown senator and I started to look into him and "the change we could believe in." This was when I was introduced to the idea of socialism, from the very get go I understood it to be an anti American system. It was around this time I learned what the word Nazi ment and how similar the rhetoric of the left was to that ideology, but more frightening was both sides seem to be pushing in the same direction. I noticed the pattern, the D's would push a political policy, the R's would put on a show of resistance but ultimately crumble to the lefts agenda then push just a bad/radical policys once they had control of Congress. It wasn't until I found out about operation mockingbird that my awakening really began...
