If local corruption is a thing, why would state, federal or national corruption be any different?

The parade of political and 'connected' people claiming total and utter hatred for the nation and its values... but staying here. For what reason would you stay somewhere you hate, other than to do that place harm?

For me it was when Trump actually won. I consumed a lot of MSM back then, didn’t like Trump but hated Hillary worse. I thought conspiracy theories where crazy and everything could be logically measured.
When Trump won everything changed, and to this day I don’t see how people didn’t notice. Immediately there was the russiaGate with literal red conspiracy line charts being presented by the people who mere days before laughed at such propositions. Idk I was a disillusioned teenager that went to bed almost hoping trump won because I was tired of watching the same thing happen in politics over and over. And once those scales truly fall away from your eyes and you're seeing the true evil in our would, there's only one answer and antidote to that, too. So the Vietnam war and government fomented race riots and Carter got me to looking harder at things I had been wondering about ever since my government forced school busing on us in '69.
I read, researched what I could back then, realized JFK was corrupt, the whole Bay of Pigs thing stank even upwind for instance. And here in Texas many people knew LBJ was a fraud, he cheated elections and was a liar. We were trying real hard to make sense of the Pentagon Papers then, wondering why our government was lying to jus all.
Anyhow, I/we didn't know 'what' it was, we didn't understand the true nature of the Enemy because we had to run everything down ourselves, reading books and attending lectures, watching world events unfold and trying to piece together the reality. We tried to get Perot into the White House to turn things around, after the fall of the USSR we thought we could unseat the established political business-as-usual hierarchy and force a return to the honest government operating safely inside the Constitution. I would have to say though that the actual moment I began to wake up was about 1960, I was maybe 6 years old. My Mother's Brother had joined the NAVY before WWII, to get off the farm. His Destroyer was sunk by a German u-boat prior to our entry into the War, a couple months prior to Pearl Harbor. They were doing escort duty, part of the Neutrality Patrol escorting ships to Britain, but FDR had them sailing right up to the Brirtish shores. We were not supposed to be doing that, we were supposed to stop outside the war zones, but did it anyhow. FDR lied to America about that.

When finally James Alefantis was interviewed by Megyn Kelly, it was an utter sham. She was there to protect him. I was stunned.
Then with the impeachments, the Russia Collusion hoax. That is when I learned that it isn't just certain people. The whole national government, all three branches, are involved. It is all pay-to-play. None of it is working like we were all lead to believe.
And then the final straw. That our votes don't matter. They've been doing massive fraud for years.

To expand on the meta a bit, I think the prevalence of corruption being known has two major impacts.
One, the whole 'emboldening' thing, people will commit more brazen crimes if it appears there is no pushback or enforcement response to lesser ones. Dems calling for attacking political opposition even when these are families on a lunch break or at work..
Secondly, I think the dems know the fuse has been lit, and the sirens are wailing in the distance and getting closer... so they are in a panic to do as much crime as they can, in the time that still remains. Picture a jewel thief smashing displays more and more frantically scooping up stuff as they are trying to figure how much time they have left to stage a getaway.
The rhetoric progression and escalation is happening quicker and quicker now - trump supporters are deplorables, no they are doubleplus bad, no they are supremacists, no they are the number one domestic terror threat and all police, media, courts have to be mobilized immediately etc. While actual terror forces can mobilize, travel, communicate, finance, and do crime openly without even fear of arrest.
The same thing happens in every dictatorship - suddenly overnight the people asking pesky questions about rigged elections and drawing attention to the plotters who prefer the shadows are getting vanished into unmarked vans and being sent off for torture.

Human nature being what it is, and power corrupting (with more power bringing more corruption), as soon as you start to notice crooked happenings in your local area with police, or councils, or bribes, or crooks able to operate without interference due to paying off people to look the other way.. and extrapolating out. If local corruption is a thing, why would state, federal or national corruption be any different?
The failing of every major political initiative, the wasting and theft of every single tax dollar, the breaking of every single campaign promise, the coordinated stage-managed press pool that arent real journalists with real questions but essentially are actors playing a part, the political apparatchiks playing the role of an independent neutral observer giving some advice or other on a TV interview that just so happens to cast their rival in a bad light.. it is endless. The parade of political and 'connected' people claiming total and utter hatred for the nation and its values... but staying here. For what reason would you stay somewhere you hate, other than to do that place harm?
Unless proven otherwise, my assumption about every figure in politics is that they would die in prison if the truth about them were known & presented for a fair trial in a court. The exceptions to that truth are rare, and all the more wonderful for that scarcity!

For me it was when Trump actually won. I consumed a lot of MSM back then, didn’t like Trump but hated Hillary worse. I thought conspiracy theories where crazy and everything could be logically measured.
When Trump won everything changed, and to this day I don’t see how people didn’t notice. Immediately there was the russiaGate with literal red conspiracy line charts being presented by the people who mere days before laughed at such propositions. YouTube started cracking down and was never again the creative playground it used to be. The whole system reeled, and it woke me up.
Idk I was a disillusioned teenager that went to bed almost hoping trump won because I was tired of watching the same thing happen in politics over and over. When I woke up at 3 am for pizza I nearly woke up the entire house laughing from trumps victory. I thought, things are finally going to get interesting, and it happened in a way I didn’t expect at all.
It was the hypocrisy of the mainstream media that woke me up. The constant talk was “Trump needs to concede if Hillary wins, the election is the election.” As soon as Trump won, they did a complete 180 and started pushing Russian interference and that Trump cheated and all their talk of respect for the office of Presidency went out the window.
And the funny thing was, candidate Trump was completely different from President Trump, but the MSM didn’t portray it that way. 2016-2020 is an entire history book in propaganda, culminating in their Hail Mary pass with Covid lockdowns. I was in middle school when 9/11 happened, so as a kid I didn't pay much attention after the initial shock of that day. It wasn't until the 2008 election cycle that I really started to pay attention. The media was deifying this unknown senator and I started to look into him and "the change we could believe in." This was when I was introduced to the idea of socialism, from the very get go I understood it to be an anti American system. It was around this time I learned what the word Nazi ment and how similar the rhetoric of the left was to that ideology, but more frightening was both sides seem to be pushing in the same direction. I noticed the pattern, the D's would push a political policy, the R's would put on a show of resistance but ultimately crumble to the lefts agenda then push just a bad/radical policys once they had control of Congress. It wasn't until I found out about operation mockingbird that my awakening really began...

It was when I realized MSM completely lied about George Floyd. I was already aware of liberal bullshit. I grew up realizing how cancerous feminism was. I realized how bad woke culture was.
I always had the idea planted in my head. I knew that the way our world functioned was not ideal. We hear the same promises all the time from politicians (jobs, opportunities, new stuff, lower prices), yet nothing of note was ever achieved. If something was achieved it definitely wasnt as advertised.
2016 was the first election that I actually voted in despite being able to in 08 and 12. Once I heard the rhetoric Trump used and saw how he was viciously attacked, I knew he was over the target. Down the rabbit hole I went.
Friends like to claim he's just as corrupt and part of the system as anyone else. I always respond in kind, "Well, then why was he attacked in the fashion that he was? Media, Congress, state officials. Surely he would have had SOME support if he were in line with the deep state?"
There's never a rebuttal.
Oh and career politicians enriching themselves while overspending.

For me it was the mid-70s, I was in the USAF, went thru the Nixon mess, then Carter sold us out to the rageheads in Iran. So the Vietnam war and government fomented race riots and Carter got me to looking harder at things I had been wondering about ever since my government forced school busing on us in '69.
I read, researched what I could back then, realized JFK was corrupt, the whole Bay of Pigs thing stank even upwind for instance. And here in Texas many people knew LBJ was a fraud, he cheated elections and was a liar. We were trying real hard to make sense of the Pentagon Papers then, wondering why our government was lying to jus all.
Anyhow, I/we didn't know 'what' it was, we didn't understand the true nature of the Enemy because we had to run everything down ourselves, reading books and attending lectures, watching world events unfold and trying to piece together the reality. For a long time we thought it was simple personal corruption, not institutionalized corruptions but just criminal individuals.
We tried to get Perot into the White House to turn things around, after the fall of the USSR we thought we could unseat the established political business-as-usual hierarchy and force a return to the honest government operating safely inside the Constitution. Again we did not realize the extent of the corruptions, because even then the media was already the Enemy, already lying and corrupt, no longer a Free Press but we didn't understand how thoroughly it was corrupt. We knew we didn't want Bush or clinton, but we failed to understand that even then we had no real choice in the matter.
I would have to say though that the actual moment I began to wake up was about 1960, I was maybe 6 years old. My Mother's Brother had joined the NAVY before WWII, to get off the farm. His Destroyer was sunk by a German u-boat prior to our entry into the War, a couple months prior to Pearl Harbor. They were doing escort duty, part of the Neutrality Patrol escorting ships to Britain, but FDR had them sailing right up to the Brirtish shores. We were not supposed to be doing that, we were supposed to stop outside the war zones, but did it anyhow. FDR lied to America about that.
Ok, so my Uncle is in our kitchen visiting, came out from San Francisco where he lived. He got to talking about how his Destroyer was sunk before Pearl Harbor, and my Momma told him he was lying. She said FDR would never have lied about that and he must be wrong about when they were sunk. I remember her getting very upset, my uncle was shocked, I was shocked, had not seen my Momma like that before. She was a Yellow Dog democrat, would not hear bad words about FDR...
Later I discovered my Uncle was correct, and I realized FDR had fooled my Momma, probably fooled millions of people. Hmmmmm.

We tried to fight all the known corruptions but it required more ability than we mustered. We simply did not understand the entirety of media was corrupt, and academia, and almost the whole of government. We didn't have the means until the digital age, we needed real time research ability, the internet. We needed instant comms, again the net and phones. Today I can research things in minutes which used to take weeks of reading books you had to get from libraries once you figured out which books you wanted... so for many of us old timers it was slow and painful, we 'KNEW' something was terribly wrong and couldn't quite get our hands on it.

We didn't know as much as we do now, we had to have 'This Timeline' to get the bigger picture, to see more. For instance I wasn't aware of the institutionalized Human trafficking until the later 90s. So I didn't carry as much baggage around for decades as it might seem, but we searched things out because we were mentally agile and strong enough to do so.
Not everyone will understand or be able to grasp the informations when/as they become widely broadcast, that is one of 'our' jobs, to help them as they get hit with it. It is so immense, so all-encompassing many folks will not believe it or be able to cope.
My Faith helps, we trust in God with this all. It truly is Good versus Evil, we know we cannot defeat Evil by ourselves but we can maybe cull some of the human minions doing Evil's bidding.

About fifty-five years ago when I stood in a famous mid-Atlantic congressman’s office as he solicited my father for a bribe for an appointment to a service academy for me. My father didn’t pay and I was not disappointed. I later got an alternate appointment that was good enough for the athletic department but I was ultimately unsuccessful.
Sometime in late 2008. I had gotten out of the military at the beginning of the year after two combat tours and was still a gung-ho Marine. One of my many nights of no sleep I was watching YouTube videos (when YouTube didn’t censor everything) of 9/11. Somewhere along the way I got into the conspiracy side of it all. I was annoyed at all of it at first. How could people possibly believe there was a government conspiracy? I’ve tried to find it since and haven’t been able to. There was a video of a black guy standing on the roof of a building in NYC talking about the towers and Building 7 and all kinds of other stuff. At the end of the video it said he mysteriously died 2 weeks after that video was recorded. They really stuck with me for some reason. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The next few nights I embarrassingly search for more videos, this time with more of an open mind. Embarrassingly because I had just served two tours and now I’m looking for proof it was all for a lie.
Over twenty years ago, when I was given books by Nesta Webster, and books on the French Revolution (Iluminati). Plus, a friend of mine who worked in the WH told me never to believe anything that I read in the newspapers or saw on TV.
