I say Kill Google, YouTube, Twitter outright. Just end them.
It would be unpopular with the normies to simply end Facebook, so I don't know how you deal with them. Many people have decades of family pictures and keep track of friends and family using it.
There's no reason it can't be run as a utility, kind of like the post office. Especially since it was created with taxpayer money to begin with. Just get rid of tracking and ads, and it would be a decent piece of useful infrastructure, with most of the sunk costs already taken care of.
Also, nobody should be leaving their only source of photos on an online platform, that's not smart at all.
I would guess that over 95% of people do not keep their own photos on local storage, and throw it away when they get a new phone. That's just the reality of it.
Do away with Twatter and FaceDick, but just clean up YouTube. I would hate to go back to life with out all of the “how to” videos. I can build a house, replace the engine in my truck, make awesome carne asada tacos (shout-out to Sam the Cooking Guy) all because of YouTube.
and a lot of sheeple have their lively hoods online through google, youtube and twitter (gamers for one example) ... i don't see them just ending them, although it would be nice
Regulation or Kill?

I would have the hardest time with Youtube being gone but will adjust IM sure if that is what it takes to clean things up.

There are other perfectly good platforms out there, and most serious content makers would port their videos over.

YouTube didn't have any probably with de-monitizing, banning, suspending people with livelyhoods depended on them.
There are other platforms. They can choose one.
hey, i agree, totally
That's like saying WE should have just found a new platform. No. No one should have to.
I've been chased off twitter.
I've been chased off reddit.
I've been chased off voat.
Somehow I have survived. People need to buck it up, buttercup.
