This is a call to action. If you are Blessed with having access to a local news paper or outlet, or know of any, please post here and I will compile them for ALL of us to support.
I'd start us off, but I'm in the Tampa Bay area and our local paper The Tampa Bay Times is slightly Right of Mao (only because of their sports coverage).
If you don't want to be specific to your area, perhaps you know a "friend" who tells you "The Pleasantville Gazette" has some journalists with integrity.
International local papers are MOST WELCOME, as are REPUTABLE online sources. But print publications, on the local level are supremely important - as is supporting them and sharing their reporting.

FTR, I was sincere with the "thanks handshake". Sorry if I came off as flip - I was just digging into the many replies here and hadn't gotten my head around what to look for in terms of "stuff that should be included." Clearly this site should. I meant absolutely no disrespect; was talking myself through the process. It was a lot of work!
